Submissions will be evaluated on originality, conciseness, effective organization and proper use of grammar. Judges will look for clear, concise writing that is logically organized and exhibits robust creativity. Essays must contain a minimum of 500 words but not exceed 750 words.
The 1st place winner will receive a $1000 scholarship; the 2nd place winner will receive a $500 scholarship and the 3rd place winner will receive a $250 scholarship. All scholarship awards will be issued in the form of an official bank check to be used towards winners’ tuition and/or expenses related to their higher education.
All entries must be received by May 31st, 2017. All essays must be entered via the top10voiplist website in a Word document. The contestants with the winning essays will be notified via email no later than June 21st, 2017 and must respond by June 26th, 2017 to avoid forfeiture of awards. Only one entry per candidate is allowed. Upon submission, entrants warrant that all content submitted is original work and does not infringe upon the trademark or copyrights of another party.
Employees of the Sponsor of the contest and its affiliates, as well as immediate family members, are not eligible to participate. Contest is open to 12th grade full-time students, as well as undergraduate students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Contest is open to students residing within the 50 U.S. states as well as the District of Columbia.
